Welcome to Brescia – EQC2022 D2 First Info

As announced earlier, EQC2022 Division 2 will take place in Brescia, Italy on April 23-24th, 2022.

The Venue

The venue offers 2 rugby pitches (170 m x 70 m) in grass, in which 6 quidditch pitches can comfortably fit. Moreover, 2 field hockey pitches are available for warming up or any further needs. The pitches are located in the same venue, so they do not exceed the maximum distance of 500 m.

Furthermore the pitches are provided with covered grand-stands (4000 seats).

Accommodation – Stay & Play

Concerning the accommodation for all athletes, we have made deals through the main organizing partner to offer local 3-4- and even 5 stars hotels. The hotels being:

All hotel rooms will be available at the rate of ~€30/night/pp.

To guarantee these prices, staying at one of these hotels will be mandatory for the duration of the tournament. When teams officially sign up for the event, they will be asked to send their booking confirmation for the team.

How to get to Brescia?

Airports

There are three airports close to Brescia: Milano Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY), Verona (VRN) and Milano Malpensa (MXP).

Milano Bergamo (BGY)

If you land at Milano Bergamo (BGY) Airport (Orio al Serio), you will have the following options:

  • By bus (airport – Brescia):
    To reach Brescia, you can get the bus (timetable) which will take you to SIA station
  • By train (airport – Bergamo – Brescia):
    You can take the train to Bergamo and than change to reach Brescia (tickets & info: here or here)

Verona (VRN)

If you land at Verona (VRN), this is your best option:

  1. First, take the bus from the airport to Verona Porta Nuova railway station (info)
  2. From there, take the train to Brescia (tickets & info: here or here)

Milano Malpensa (MXP)

If you land at Milano Malpensa (MXP), you can:

  1. Either take the bus or train to Milano Centrale railway station
  2. From there, take the train to Brescia (tickets & info: here or here)

Bus

Long distance international buses (Eurolines, Flixbus, …) travel frequently to Milan, from which you can use other modes of transport to get to Brescia. See more info above.
